techniques to literally elevate and highlight the middle stone. Others want a massive, continuous "wall
of sparkle" across the finger.
The Dianoche Process: Visuals & 3D Rendering
Because the proportions are so critical and personal, building a three-stone ring is a highly customized
process. It is nearly impossible for an average retail store to do this well because it requires
immediate access to a massive inventory of loose diamonds to physically test different combinations.
Because we manufacture our own jewelry and hold a vast inventory, here is how we build your ring:
- The Physical Test: We always start by deciding on the center stone. Then, we immediately pull at least two different options for the side stones. You need to see them side-by-side with your own eyes during our meeting (or via high-quality photos if we are consulting online).
- The 3D Simulation: Once the stones are chosen, we move to our 3D rendering service. This visual process makes it incredibly easy to tweak the angles, the thickness of the prongs, and the overall layout.
- Final Production: Only after we reach the perfect formula in the simulation do we lock in the final dimensions and manufacture the physical ring.
The Golden Rule of Quality Matching
While the design is completely up to your personal taste, from a gemological standpoint, we strongly
recommend keeping the visual quality of the diamonds consistent.
The golden rule is: the side stones should never be of better quality than the center
diamond. If your side stones are noticeably whiter or clearer, they will outshine your main
center stone. Alternatively, some clients intentionally go the opposite route and create deliberate
color contrast (such as a white center diamond flanked by colored gems). Whatever your preference, our
3D renders will help you perfect the look before you buy.
